CPO Training
The CPO® Certification course teaches pool professionals how to properly maintain their pools in accordance with state regulations and industry standards. This national certification is designed to provide individuals with the basic knowledge, techniques, and skills of pool and spa operations
Lo-Chlor offers CPO training by our very own Certified Instructors. We’ll teach you everything you need to know to pass the exam and become a successful, knowledgeable CPO Certified technician. Our personalized training is in a small-class setting and available only to our Lo-Chlor dealers.
Course Overview:
This two-day class runs 8:30 am – 5 pm both days.
On Day 1 you’ll receive classroom instruction on such topics as water chemistry, pumps and filters, management, risk and liability, pool calculations and more.
On Day 2 you will have a review of pool calculations, go over your governmental state code and take your exam. It is a three hour exam: open book / open note, and you need a 75% grade to pass. Once you pass, you will receive a national certification in 4-6 weeks, which is valid for five years.
The certified Pool/Spa Operator certification program has delivered more training than any other program in the pool and spa industry since 1972, resulting in more than 375,000 successful CPO certifications in 94 countries. In over 35% of the USA, state law mandates a Certified Pool Operator at all facilities. This includes Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, Maine and many other states.
